Where have I been?!

Seriously! Where have I been?? LOL, first lets start off with, WE HAVE AN APPROVED HOMESTUDY!!! Thank you to everyone who helped make it possible. It couldn't have been done without you! So we were actually matched with an expectant mother and we were ready to head on down the adoption road a little ways but we ended up having to pass. We were not expecting to get matched as soon as we did. So while it was wonderful, it was also awful because we thought we were going to be able to come up with the money but it just didn't happen. We had to pass. The baby was due on Monday. We hope that he or she has a wonderful new home with parents who will love him or her as much as we would have. Today, my sister set up a little Facebook Event asking for everyone to donate $1 and share. I think its awesome. I'd love to see it take over Facebook! If it does happen to go huge, we plan on giving any extra proceeds to helpusadopt.org. I truly admire what they do. Here's the link to the event! Even if you can't help, share it! Home Study Paperwork

Well, we got our paperwork! Its a huge thick stack of paper but I was happy to see it! My hand was cramping so bad last night I had to stop and finish up today. I got the copies of everything we need and now I'm just waiting on Matt to finish up his portion. I've made our appointments for our physicals and we'll go get our local law background checks tomorrow morning. As soon as the finger printing packet gets here, we'll get finger printed and be on our way!!

New news! lol

Well, today we met with Angela and Edna of Adoption & Family Support Center, LLC. First off...they rock! We had such a good time hanging out and getting to know them. We gave them our application and application fee and hope to start our home study very soon! Like within the next few days. So thats pretty exciting. They also have a possible birth mother who we may or may not be a match with. So now we scramble to try to come up with the money we will need to adopt because there is a very real possibility that we could have a baby by mid-July. So...fingers crossed for us that we can make this happen!!

Its Been a While

Hi everyone. Nothing new to add here at all. Just popping in and saying hello. Money is tight so things are kind of on hold for a while. I'll try to remember to update this more often.

Well...its been a while!

But I told you guys I am awful at blogging! So you were forewarned! The raffle went great! I'll post a list of the winners later on today! We were able to raise enough to pay for our Home Study! We will start that process after the holidays. Things are just too crazy right now. We can't wait to get a move on! Nothing else is new here. I did reunite with an old friend the other day via e-mail. Its been really awesome and I'm glad she e-mailed me. I hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas!!!

Well hello there!

Not much new here...We are still in the ticket selling phase of our raffle and thats going really well. We've sold 147 so far. We've done far better than I thought we would! We are over halfway to paying for our home study which is amazing. I saw Robert yesterday and gave him a couple of the business cards printed up with our blog info, an e-mail address and phone number to contact us at on the college bulletin board. Never know...there might be a girl in a situation who doesn't want to abort but also doesn't want to parent her child...we could help each other. I want to get a few cards to the rest of the family as well. Never know when they might hear of someone who wants to look into adoption.

In other, non-baby/non-adoption news...my mouth really hurts today, lol. My orthodontist appointment yesterday has gone and left me grumpy today. Alright...off to do some work for me! Talk to you all later!

I think thats all of them...we are pretty happy with it. Once the agency approves, we have to have 5 copies printed up and then have them wirebound. Alright...thats all I've got for the moment.
